The rules and guidelines for using Prism.
By accessing or using Prism ("Prism", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the website, applications, APIs, or related services (collectively, the "Service").
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Prism. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy .
Prism is a collaborative travel planning platform for organizing group trips, destinations, flights, stays, activities, votes, shared notes, expenses, and related planning information.
Prism is provided for planning, coordination, and informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, availability, or timeliness of travel information shown in the Service. Features may change, be limited, or become unavailable.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement to use Prism.
By using Prism, you represent that:
You are responsible for all activity under your account.
You agree to provide accurate account information, keep your login access secure, and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we believe an account is being misused, violates these Terms, creates risk for Prism or other users, or must be restricted for legal or security reasons.
Prism may offer paid subscription plans, including Prism Premium. Paid plans, prices, trial details, renewal periods, and included features are shown on the pricing page, in-app billing screens, and Stripe Checkout before purchase.
Unless otherwise stated at checkout, Prism Premium is a recurring subscription. Monthly plans renew each month, and yearly plans renew each year, until you cancel. If your plan includes a free trial, you will not be charged during the trial. When the trial ends, your selected paid plan begins automatically and your payment method will be charged unless you cancel before the trial ends.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Prism does not store your full payment card number. Stripe may collect and process payment method, billing, tax, fraud-prevention, and authentication information under its own terms and privacy policy.
You authorize Prism and Stripe to charge your selected payment method for:
You can manage or cancel a Stripe-billed subscription from Settings > Billing in the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period or trial unless Stripe displays a different effective date. After cancellation, you may lose access to Premium features when the paid period or trial ends.
Subscription charges are generally non-refundable and are not prorated unless required by law or expressly stated by Prism. If you believe you were charged in error, contact [email protected] .
If payment fails, we may retry the charge, ask you to update your payment method, limit Premium access, or allow Stripe to cancel the subscription. We may change paid-plan pricing or features, but we will provide notice when required by law before changes take effect. Continuing to use a paid plan after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms for that plan.
You agree not to:
You retain ownership of content you submit to Prism.
By submitting content, you grant Prism a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, share, and process that content only as needed to operate, improve, secure, and support the Service.
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you provide. Prism does not verify user-submitted travel details, prices, booking references, notes, or expenses.
Prism is collaborative. Information you add to a trip, explorer, profile, vote, shared note, or discussion may be visible to other people with access to that workspace or shared view.
Do not add sensitive information unless you trust the people who can access it. Prism is not responsible for disputes between users or for how other users use information you choose to share with them.
Prism may provide tools for tracking group expenses or suggested splits. These planning tools are separate from Prism's own subscription billing.
For user-to-user expense tracking, Prism:
Prism is not an airline, hotel, travel agency, tour operator, transportation provider, visa advisor, insurance provider, or booking service. Unless we explicitly say otherwise, Prism does not issue tickets, confirm reservations, or control travel suppliers.
We do not guarantee:
You are responsible for verifying all travel details with the actual provider.
Prism may use or link to third-party services, including Stripe, Cloudflare, Resend, Sentry, analytics providers, AI providers, map providers, travel data APIs, booking sites, customer review services, and authentication providers.
We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, policies, outages, errors, transactions, or security practices. Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms.
Prism may provide AI-assisted planning, search, summaries, or recommendations. AI output can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. You are responsible for reviewing suggestions before relying on them or adding them to a trip.
Prism does not guarantee that AI suggestions will be safe, available, suitable, legal, or accurate for your group.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or permanent availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service, including free or paid features, subject to applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prism disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, availability, and uninterrupted operation.
Use of the Service is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prism will not be liable for:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prism's total liability for all claims will not exceed the greater of $100 USD or the amount you paid Prism in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some limits may not apply to you.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Prism and its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, disputes with other users, or disputes with third-party providers.
You may stop using Prism at any time. We may suspend or terminate access as described in these Terms. Termination does not affect payment obligations already incurred or provisions that should reasonably survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations, indemnity, dispute terms, and legal compliance provisions.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where your local law gives you non-waivable consumer rights.
To the extent permitted by law, disputes must be resolved by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, and you and Prism waive jury trials and class actions. Arbitration will take place in Pennsylvania unless applicable law requires another location or process.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking relief in small claims court where available or from seeking emergency injunctive relief for misuse, security, or intellectual property concerns.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will show the latest version. If changes materially affect paid subscriptions or your rights, we will provide notice when required by law. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
